Welcome back to 'Three thoughts Thursday’ within this weekly blog I will share the three thoughts that have been at the front of my mind over the last few days. I hope these three thoughts can be of benefit to you.
Do you know what you want?
As a result of technological advancements in the last thirty years, it feels like there are more distractions than ever before. We have more choices to make and each one can alter our focus and move us away from what we actually want. May I ask when the last time was that you stopped and aquatinted yourself with what you really wanted? Without a plan, you are unlikely to deliver as good a result. Are you clear on what you want? Do you have a specific plan for work? Do you have a specific plan for your personal life? Do you have a long-term plan? Is now a good time to start?
Do you have what you need to succeed?
When things go wrong we often look for something to blame whether it be time, resources, or people, to name a few reasons. As Tony Robbins said “It’s not a resource we lack it’s being resourceful” Do you have the support network, the skills, the time, the attitude, and the resilience to wholeheartedly commit to achieving what you want? Is now a good time to seek that missing link between you and achieving what you want?
Are you fully committed?
Even if the two questions above are answered positively there is one last ingredient that will be the difference that makes the difference. Your success is determined by the action you take. Your motivation will come from how compelling your goal is. Are you ready to give this everything, adapting when required, putting your ego on the line, and committing fully to what you want until you have succeeded?
I wish you well in all your endeavors.
